FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Annesdiary.com, the First Child-safe Social Networking Site, to Launch at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in San Francisco
TORONTO and LONDON - July 25, 2007 - Logica Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: MXRW) today announced that one of its subsidiary companies, Anne's World, Inc., will launch a Beta version of www.annesdiary.com, a uniquely secure and safe social networking site for young girls that draws its inspiration from the "Anne of Green Gables" series of books, at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, August 6 - 9, 2007.
The site annesdiary.com has been designed to serve as both an entertaining and educational site that encourages its members to explore their creativity and imagination. It is the first website designed specifically for children which is first and foremost a secure environment.
Thanks to a collaboration with high-tech safety and security leaders Fujitsu Limited, Novell Technologies and 123ID, annesdiary.com features a ground-breaking biometric secure login technique which limits access to the website only to those people whose identities have been verified by law enforcement officials in combination with a fingerprint identification system, thereby ensuring the privacy and security of all registered members.
Anne's World, Inc. will join Fujitsu, Novell and 123ID at the Linux World Expo in San Francisco between 6 - 9 August, where annesdiary.com will be showcased to technology leaders and members of the media.
On August 7, an invite-only press conference at the W Hotel San Francisco will feature a new level of child safety and internet security from COO of Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Keith Horn, and CEO of annesdiary.com, Emily Want, giving those present an exclusive introduction to this innovative and exciting children's website. The site is scheduled to launch to the public in the Fall of 2007.
While annesdiary.com is aimed primarily at fans of the "Anne of Green Gables" books, the child-safe technology which forms the backbone of the site will be applicable to any child-oriented website wishing to increase the security of their users, setting a new standard for all websites aimed at young people.
"We're thrilled to be bringing this cutting-edge technology to the marketplace and most importantly, to parents around the world," says Emily Want, CEO of Anne's World. "Parents will soon be able to enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that their children can enjoy this important social tool, within a fun and protected environment."
